HEATHER'S FURY (8)
Heather's Jury
Int: Lakeland Police Department-Juvenile Holding-9 P.M.
After spending the night in holding, Heather and Marcia were ushered to the Interrogation room in chains and handcuffs. Pam Martin decided to start the deposition with Marcia first and save the more difficult Heather for last.
Pam Martin
"Good morning Marcia, did you sleep well?"
Marcia
"No, and could you work on that breakfast...I wouldn't feed that crap to my dog?"
Martin
"I understand, well as you probably know, this deposition is centered on the murder case of Bob Patricks...now we're trying to place the timeline and the particulars of what exactly happened on March 14th...now it's very important for you to know that Mister Abrams...Troy that is, has already submitted his testimony, so any deviation would show false admission on one party or the other, understand?"
Marcia
"Yea, I understand...I've already been raped once...what's another round?"
Martin
"I know this must be trying, but try to go through the details of that day...would you?"
Marcia
"Well, we went over to Heather's house to get some clothes, her old man surprised us...he was drunk, we got into a fight, and I guess he lost...it was purely self-defense...the guy was like all over us!"
Martin
"So, it was just like that, did anything else happen?"
Marcia
"Heather was worried about the property value...I mean you leave a body laying in your house, really sinks the place up, so we couldn't just leave him there to rot, and we couldn't just call up the police...I mean for what, breaking and entering a taped up building, maybe trespassing?"
Martin
"So, you decided to load the body in his car and leave him at the office?"
Marcia
"Yea, I guess you already know all about that, it was pretty much Heather's idea!"
Martin
"So, that's it?"
Marcia
"Pretty much...now what are you going to do to me next, have your boys come in and molest me?"
Martin
"Marcia, we're trying to establish the facts of the case...nobody is going to hurt you...so if you wish to add something else, I highly suggest you do so now!"
Marcia
"That's all I have to say, so please stop pushing me, I'm done talking to you..."
Martin
"Fine young lady...thank you very much...Guard, please come remove the prisoner!"
(1 Hour Later)
Bringing Heather into the interrogation room
She plops down onto the chair, propping her feet upon the table, chains scratching the top.
Heather
""Well, now that you've grilled and sodomized all my friends, what have you got in store for me...burn my tits...what?"
Martin
"Miss Patricks, you can take your feet off the table for one, and the testimony your about to entertain us with will determine where we go from here...so try to be as concise as you can, and we will determine how much doo doo you managed to get yourself into!"
Heather
"Okay, I ready...you can start grilling me anytime you feel the urge..."
Martin
"Alright, could you recount the events that occurred on March 14th regarding the death of your father?"
Heather
"Do we have to talk about him, that's so old school?"
Martin
"Yes, yes you do, tell me what was going on at your house on March 14th please?"
Heather
"Went to get some clothes, house was all taped up with that crappy police tape...I swear, that stuff is so ugly...can't you guys find some different colors?"
Martin
"So, you went to get some clothes, then what happened Miss Patricks?"
Heather
"Well, the only way I could get in was through my bedroom window, got my clothes, and there was Bob...dear old Dad, all drunk...trying to attack my ass, tried fighting him off, and we ended up hitting him in the head with a floor lamp, and he fell down..."
Martin
"So, at this point, what did you do?"
Heather
"Thought about just leaving him there, but I thought maybe we should at least get him some medical assistance, but then...nobody, I mean nobody was supposed to be there, including him...so we helped him to his car, and I guess he crashed into his office?"
Martin
"So, your saying he drove himself?"
Heather
"Sure, why not...just a little head gash..."
Martin
"How did you know where he drove to, the particulars of the crash to his office were never disclosed...I'm asking you Miss Patricks, would you care to omit that and perhaps...I know this is a stretch for you...but restate the truth?"
Heather
"Okay, okay maybe we helped him over there, is that better?"
Martin
"Well, actually you drove him over there and moved the body to the driver's side, and just left him there, isn't that correct Miss Patricks?"
Heather
"Hey, you ought to be asking yourself these questions, you know more about this than I do...that's amazing!"
Martin
"Well, did you have anything else, any other statements that you would like to add?"
Heather
"Not really, I think all this is just about you and your blow buddies trying to find someone to tag this on on...and as far as the old man goes...he had it coming, plain and simple, the man was a complete lunatic that loved his booze...glad he's dead!"
Martin
"Thank you Miss Patricks, oh guard...guard, would you kindly remove this prisoner?"
Heather laughing hysterically
"Prisoner...you already have me sentenced...huh?"
Martin
"We'll see what the District Attorney has to say...in the mean time I suggest you make yourself comfortable at our little retreat here...good day Miss Patricks!"
Heather being lead out
"Hey, your not one of those Lesbian chicks...you know the ones with the strap-on's huh, you gonna come visit me after they chain me back up in my cell...well I ain't doin no old ladies you crazy dyke?"
Martin
"Get her out...get her out of here now!"
(Scene Switch)
Returning Heather to the holding facility, she quickly see's Marcia
Marcia
"There you are girl...how did it all pan out?"
Heather
"Kind of surprised, they already seemed to know everything?"
Marcia
"Yea, I'm thinking they tortured Troy, spanked his you know what's, and he broke down and squealed...they kept wanting me to rethink my answers and stuff...I knew they had the story already!"
Heather
"This is what happens when you drag boys into the picture...nothing but trouble!"
Marcia
"Well, when are they going to start offering us the plea deals?
Heather
"I guess when we're officially charged, convicted...not sure how that works?"
Marcia
"And all this because of an accident...I mean it's not like we went there to hunt him down!"
Heather
"I'm sorry, I don't miss the bastard at all, they're not taking us down if I have anything to do with it!"

Int: District Attorney's Office-1 P.M.
Pam Martin and Hodges meet with Jane Hodges, the assistant D.A..
Jane Hodges
"Afternoon, how have you two been getting along...figured you just came from questioning the kids about the Patricks case...what you got for me?"
Barns
"Well, it's stacked 2 to 1, looks like the 1 didn't actually see the crime, that being the boy, and the other two...they're all stating self-defense...it's a blind conclusion cause we've got juvenile kids and a belligerent drunk father bent on causing problems, and is also our number one suspect in the murder of his wife...what do you want here?"
Hodges
"That's it...cause this would never hold up...I mean from what I've been looking at, I couldn't recommend anything more than a one year suspended...and I'm damn series, too!"
Barns
"Look, I know your backed up here, but we do have a man who killed his wife and was threatning the juveniles, no priors on them, he goes after them, they fight back, he croaks, what?"
Hodges
"It doesn't matter because the jury would give little more than the sympathy vote."
Barns
"What do mean by sympathy vote?"
Hodges
"Well, you've got a split jury, a hung jury, and ta-dah...there's your sympathy vote!"
Martin slamming files on the table
"That's it...nothing more?"
Hodges
"Sorry, that's it...I'm not dropping a quarter mill of taxpayer's money just watch it bleed down the wasted hall of justice!"
Martin
"I think I'm going to need a drink..."
Hodges
"I totally understand, there's a bar right around the corner."
Barns
"Thanks Miss Hodges!"
Hodges
"Your welcome, I'll have my opinion posted this afternoon...in the mean time, why don't the two of you take the rest of the day off, you both look like crap!"
Martin
"Right around the corner huh?"
Hodges
"Can't miss it!
